Abstract

A furniture unit of the bookcase type comprises at least one upright (3), at least one shelf (5), at least one shelf support bracket (6) extending from the upright and capable of supporting the shelf, and also first and second fixing means (15; 38) for fixing the shelf support bracket respectively on the upright and on the shelf. The shelf support bracket is slidably secured to the upright via first connection means (11, 12) provided on the shelf support bracket and on the upright, and is slidably secured to the shelf via second connection means (31, 32) provided on the shelf support bracket and on the shelf, so as to permit both the adjustable, continuous displacement of the shelf in a first sliding direction (Y) defined by the upright, and the adjustable, continuous displacement of the upright in a second sliding direction (X) defined by the shelf.

Claims

CLAIMS 1. Shelf-type furniture component, comprising at least one upright (3), at least one shelf (5), at least one shelf support bracket (6) extending from said upright and able to support said shelf, as well as first and second fixing means (15 ; 16) to fix said shelf support bracket respectively on said upright and on said shelf, characterized in that said shelf support bracket is linked in a sliding manner to said upright by means of first coupling means (11, 12) provided on said shelf support bracket and on said upright, and that said shelf support bracket is connected in a sliding manner to said shelf by means of second coupling means (31, 32) provided on said shelf support bracket and on said shelf, so as to allow both adjustable and continuous movement of said shelf along a first sliding direction (Y) defined by said upright, and the continuously adjustable displacement of said upright along a second sliding direction (X) defined a from said shelf.

2. Furnishing component according to claim 1, wherein said first coupling means comprise a first groove (1 1) extending longitudinally along said upright, to define said first sliding direction, and a first shoe (12) associated with said shelf support bracket, said first groove and said first shoe being shaped in such a way as to allow the sliding of the first shoe inside the first groove without the faculty of disengagement therefrom.

Furniture component according to claim 2, in which said first groove has a T-shaped section, with a bottom portion (13) with an enlarged section and with an inlet portion (14) with a narrow section and open towards the outside of the upright, and in which said first shoe is at least partially housed in said bottom portion and has an intermediate section between said enlarged section and said narrow section.

Furniture component according to claim 3, wherein said first fixing means comprise a threaded hole (20) obtained in said first shoe and a screw (17) provided on said shelf support bracket, said screw being extended through said inlet portion of said first groove and is engaged in screwing in said hole, to bring said first shoe closer to said shelf support bracket and tighten said shelf support bracket against said upright.

Furniture component according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein said shelf support bracket (6) comprises a first element (41) to which said first shoe is associated and a second element (42), distinct from said first element, with which said second shoe is associated, said first and second elements being removably coupled to each other to form said shelf support bracket.

6. Furnishing component according to claim 5, in which said first and second elements are shaped in such a way as to allow their mutual removable coupling by inserting one of said first and second elements in the other of said first and second elements, along a predefined coupling direction (X).

7. Furniture component according to claim 6, wherein said first and second elements are shaped so as to define a dovetail-like shape coupling.

8. Furniture component according to any one of the preceding claims, in which said second coupling means comprise a second groove (31) extending longitudinally along said shelf, to define said second sliding direction, and a second shoe (32) associated with said shelf support bracket, said second groove and said second shoe being shaped in such a way as to allow the sliding of the second shoe inside the second groove without the ability to disengage from it,

Furniture component according to claim 8, in which said second groove has a T-section, with a bottom portion (33) with an enlarged section and with an entrance portion (34) with a narrow section and open towards the outside of the shelf, and in which said second shoe is at least partially housed in said bottom portion and has an intermediate section between said enlarged section and said narrow section.

10. Furnishing component according to claim 8 or 9, wherein said second fixing means comprise a threaded hole (39) made in said second shoe and a threaded pin (38) screwed into said hole to abut a bottom wall (40) of said second groove and tighten said shelf support bracket against said shelf.

Furnishing component according to claim 10, wherein said second shoe comprises a body (35) engaged in said second groove and a pair of wings (36) extended from said body and engageable in said bottom portion (33) of the second groove, said threaded hole (39) being obtained on said body in a position spaced from said pair of wings and being extended along a direction (Y) transversal with respect to said coupling direction.

Furnishing component according to claim 1, wherein said second element (42) comprises said second shoe and a foot (45) capable of coupling with said first element (41), said foot being extended from the body of said second shoe on the opposite side with respect to said threaded hole, so that due to the abutment action of said threaded pin against the bottom wall (40) of said second groove, said foot is oscillated around an axis of oscillation defined by said pair of wings (36) along a direction transverse to said coupling direction, so as to urge said foot against said first element and clamp said first element on said second element.

13. Furniture component according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the uprights are arranged in transverse pairs (Z) with respect to said second sliding direction (X) defined by said shelf.

14. Furniture component according to any one of the preceding claims, in which a respective shelf support bracket is provided for each upright of a pair of said uprights and said shelf support brackets are mounted to the opposite longitudinal ends of a tubular rod (7).
