Descrizione di brevetto per invenzione industriale dal titolo: Patent description for industrial invention entitled:
“Bicicletta variabile” "Variable bicycle"
Oggetto della presente invenzione è una bicicletta, veicolo a due ruote di cui una anteriore ed una posteriore, a propulsione muscolare umana per mezzo di pedali azionati dagli arti inferiori, sulla quale l'appoggio del corpo umano avviene in posizione prona e ventrale, in particolare sul lato frontale di bacino e sterno, per mezzo di strutture idoneamente imbottite od elastiche. I piedi agiscono sui due pedali, che agiscono direttamente sullo stesso asse di rotazione della ruota posteriore, alla maniera dei noti monocicli. Non è presente alcuna catena od altro dispositivo di trasmissione. Le mani trovano appoggio in due manubri, uno destro ed uno sinistro, fìssati ai rispettivi bracci della forcella anteriore, od anche alla parte superiore di detta forcella anteriore; detti manubri sono ampiamente spostabili durante la marcia, per permettere, nella posizione all’indietro, di rizzarsi sui pedali staccando bacino e sterno dai loro appoggi, e consentire così un assetto più efficace nelle salite ripide, assetto consentito anche dalle biciclette tradizionali.
