Descrizione Description
"SISTEMA DI RIVESTIMENTO". "COATING SYSTEM".
CAMPO TECNICO DELL'INVENZIONE. TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION.
The invention relates to a cladding system with concealed anchoring elements, particularly suitable for cladding walls with modular sheet elements to obtain ventilated walls.
STATO DELLA TECNICA ANTERIORE. STATE OF THE PRIOR ART.
The so-called "ventilated walls" or "ventilated facades" have been known for some time and are normally used to cover the external facades of residential or industrial buildings, in order to obtain better thermal insulation and consequent energy savings of these buildings. Another function of these ventilated walls is typically aesthetic, that is, it allows you to change the appearance of a building undergoing, for example, a restoration renovation.
In detail, these ventilated walls are formed by a reticular trellis, made with uprights and transoms of mainly metallic materials, which is fixed to the facades of the buildings, and by a multiplicity of cladding plates that are fixed to the reticular trellis in different ways, in so as to cover the facades, creating a substantially empty cavity called "chimney" between them and the cladding slabs.
This cavity, whose thickness is defined by the thickness of the elements that form the reticular lattice, acts as a thermal insulation chamber and flows of air circulate in it by natural convection that keep the facades and, therefore, the building free of humidity and which also form an insulating barrier from the outside.
Within this cavity it is also possible to place additional insulating panels that form a so-called "coat" which is laid directly on the wall surface to be covered and which helps to improve the thermal insulation of the facade in relation to heating, with a consequent further energy savings.
Furthermore, the cladding slabs are made with materials that have their own specific thermal and acoustic insulation capacity, and this allows the creation of a shield that surrounds the building and keeps it isolated.
The slabs can be fixed to the trusses with special hooks or with glue materials, or even with both in collaboration. In the case of the hooks, the anchoring elements to the slab can be both visible and concealed.
However, this state of the art has some drawbacks.
A first drawback is that the cladding slabs and the metal trusses that support them have different thermal expansion coefficients and when the ventilated walls are exposed, for example, to high temperatures caused by prolonged sun exposure over time, the expansion between slabs and pylons are significantly different.
This creates internal tensions in the ventilated walls which, over time, can cause cracks in the cladding slabs which, therefore, must be promptly replaced both to ensure the necessary safe constraint conditions and to maintain effective insulation of the building. .
A second drawback is that the replacement of the slabs is not easy, since, especially in the case of slabs with partially overlapping edges, to replace a single slab it is necessary to remove at least some other adjacent ones, and, in some cases, also a entire row, to allow it to detach from the trellis.
SCOPI DELL'INVENZIONE. AIMS OF THE INVENTION.
An object of the invention is to improve the state of the known art.
Another object of the invention is to provide a cladding system that allows the cladding of surfaces, in particular the facades of walls of buildings, in a quick and easy way.
Another object of the invention is to provide a cladding system which allows the position of the cladding slabs to be easily adjusted even when these are already mounted on the truss supporting them.
A further object of the invention is to provide a coating system which allows free thermal expansion of the metal support structure without inducing any tension to the coating plates.
A further object of the invention is to provide a cladding system that does not allow rainwater to enter the gap defined between the cladding and the facade.
A further object of the invention is to provide a coating system which allows the disassembly and assembly of coating plates without necessarily having to remove the adjacent ones.
A further object of the invention is to provide a cladding system which hides the elements which support and constrain the cladding slabs to the relative support trusses from view.
According to the invention, a surface coating system is provided comprising: modular coating elements which define first approach edges and second approach edges which are opposite to said first edges and which can be approached and superimposed on said first edges; means for fixing said modular elements to support means, characterized in that said first approaching edges and second approaching edges have transversal shaped profiles with respective convex and concave profiles, said fastening means having retention profiles interposable between, and engaging with said first convex profiles and second concave profiles.
The cladding system therefore makes it possible to quickly and easily clad the surfaces of buildings, such as the facades of the latter; to adjust the positions of the cladding plates when they are already mounted on the support trusses; to avoid the creation of tensions due to the thermal expansion typical of the metal structure and the consequent, probable fracture of the cladding slabs; to protect the internal cavity from the ingress of rainwater; to hide the elements that support and bind the cladding slabs to the trusses from view; to replace damaged cladding slabs without having to disassemble neighboring slabs.

Ulteriori caratteristiche e vantaggi dell'invenzione risulteranno maggiormente evidenti dalla descrizione dettagliata di un sistema di rivestimento, illustrato a titolo indicativo, e non limitativo, negli uniti disegni in cui: Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become more evident from the detailed description of a coating system, illustrated by way of non-limiting example, in the accompanying drawings in which:

FORME DI ATTUAZIONE DELL'INVENZIONE. FORMS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INVENTION.
With reference to Figure 1, it is noted that the coating system comprises coating plates 1 and 2 made of material preferably of the low thermal conductivity type.
The slabs 1 and 2 are intended to be mounted on uprights 3, normally made of metal material, which are in turn attached by means of the use of dowels or brackets (not shown), in this case they are therefore spaced from the wall, to a surface to be coated, such as, for example, a facade F of a building, and which identify a contact plane PC.
The plates 1 and 2 have a quadrangular shape, usually square or rectangular, and define front surfaces 8 and 9 and corresponding rear surfaces 8 'and 9', as well as respective perimeter faces 4 and 5 intended to be facing and aligned with each other when plates 1 and 2 are mounted on the uprights 3.
Normally, these cladding systems are mounted vertically and the slabs 1 and 2 are placed aligned one above the other, therefore the perimeter faces 4 and 5 coincide respectively with the upper edge of a slab 1 and the lower edge of a slab 2.
As can be seen in the figures, both perimeter faces 4 and 5 have shaped cross sections.
In detail, the upper perimeter face 4 of a plate 1 has a profile which includes a first lip 6 in relief which extends towards the perimeter face 5 of a plate 2 while the latter has a substantially "V" shaped concave profile, indicated with PV1, which falls into it and defines a second lip 7 which extends towards the perimeter face 4 of a plate 1.
As can be seen in Figures 1 and 2, the first lip 6 and the second lip 7, although substantially parallel, are not aligned with each other, the first lip 6 being closer to the upright 3, while the second lip 7 is displaced towards the outside with respect to this, so that, in a mounted configuration of the two plates 1 and 2, the second lip 7 is superimposed on the first lip 6.
The thicknesses S1 and S2 of the first lip 6 and of the second lip 7 are such as to allow, when the plates 1 and 2 are assembled, to keep the respective front surfaces 8 and 9 facing outwards substantially aligned and coplanar with each other.
Furthermore, the lengths L1 and L2 of the first lip 6 and of the second lip 7 are such as to allow a partial overlap of the second lip 7 on the first lip 6, while leaving a space between an upper perimeter face 4 and a lower perimeter face 5 "Î ́ "of predetermined size and such as to allow a sliding of a slab 1 of a few millimeters with respect to the other adjacent slab 2.
To support and fix the plates 1 and 2 to the uprights 3, attachment and support means are provided, indicated as a whole with 10.
These attachment and support means 10 can be made in a single piece, as indicated in Figures 1-3 or in at least two pieces, as indicated in Figures 4 and 5.
In the first case, the attachment and support means 10 comprise a series of hooks 11 each of which is bent to form two loops which define two additional acute angles between at least three consecutive portions, namely a first extension portion 12 which is intended to be fixed to the upright 3 or to the facade F, a second section 13 which forms a support surface inclined towards the upright 3 and a second length 14 for the extension of the support surface 13.
The supporting surface 13 forms a first angle "a" of inclination with the contact plane PC, and the third section 14 is bent with respect to this so as to form, in cross section, a second convex "V" profile, indicated with PV2, which can be conjugated with the concave profile PV1 obtained in the lower perimeter face 5 of a slab.
Furthermore, as can be seen in the Figures, the second section 14 is substantially parallel to the first section 12 and this in order to be fitted over the first lip 6, keeping it resting against the upright 3.
In other words, each slab 1 or 2 is bound to the upright 3 by means of the hooks 11 which act simultaneously on the respective upper 4 and lower 5 perimeter faces.
The second portion 14 of each hook 11 acts on the first lip 6 and keeps it in contact with the upright 3, while on the lower face 5 acts the support surface 13 which, coupling in a conjugate way with the profile PV1, precisely with the surface 113 'of this which is inclined with respect to the contact plane PC according to a second angle "β" slightly greater than the first angle "a", performs a double function, namely a first support function and a second retention function, keeping the plate pressed against the contact surface PC of the upright 3.
This second function is obtained in particular by means of the inclination of the support surface 13 (inclined according to the first angle "a") and the facing surface 113 '(according to the second angle "β") of the PV1 profile and which allows, in the point of mutual contact, to decompose, according to the known vector rule, the force-weight P of each slab into two components, a component P0 directed towards the upright 3 and a component Pi directed vertically, as shown schematically in Figure 7.
The PQ component exerts an automatic and constant thrust in the lower area of each slab, keeping it resting against the contact plane PC upright 3 when the two profiles PV1 and PV2 are mutually engaged, that is when a slab is in mounted configuration.
With reference to Figure 6, it can be seen that each hook 11 comprises at least one wall indicated by 20, for support and constraint, which, on the edge, forms the first extension section 12, and two stems bent into hooks 21 and 22 parallel to each other. them which form the second section 13 and the third section 14, as well as the second convex profile PV2.
A window 23 is defined in the wall 20 through which a suitable clamp 24 can pass (see Figure 5) which can be used as an alternative to screws or rivets, to tighten the hooks 11 along the uprights 3 during the construction of the facade cladding F .
With reference to Figure 4, it is noted that the hooks, indicated in this case with 111 to distinguish them from the previous ones, can be formed, according to a further embodiment version, by two distinct components, and not in a single piece, but which as a whole copy the profile of the hooks 11 in one piece, and which, being separate, have distinct functions.
Specifically, a first component is provided, indicated with 111A which serves to retain the first lip 6 against the upright 3 and a second component, indicated with 111B which serves to retain the edge 5 also in contact with the upright 3. In detail, the first component 111A comprises a first vertical section (not visible in the drawings, which is intended to be supported and fixed to the upright 3 with known means, such as, for example, screws or rivets, a second section 113 substantially straight, which It is intended to pass over the first lip 6 and a third portion 114 bent substantially at right angles towards the first lip 6, in such a way as to follow its profile and, as mentioned, retain it against the upright 3.
The second component 111B, on the other hand, has substantially the same profile as the previously described hooks 11, with the only difference that the second section, indicated by 14 ', has a substantially shorter length than that of the previous version.
In this second component 111B, on the other hand, there is also a first portion 12 ', corresponding to the first portion 12 of the first version of the hook 11, an inclined support surface 13', corresponding to the support surface 13, as well as the corresponding profile PV2 ' of the second profile PV2.
This version of the hooks 111 provides for separate fixing to the upright 3 of the first component 111A and of the second component 111B.
The construction of the cladding system is as follows: referring, by way of example, to the cladding of a building facade, and therefore to a vertical cladding, the brackets equipped with adjustable slots which in turn fasten the uprights 3 to the facade F by means of screws or rivets, maintaining predetermined interdistances according to both the required width of the cavity and the dimensions of the cladding slabs 1 and 2.
When these uprights 3 are fixed, a first horizontal row of hooks 11 is positioned on these and fixed, for example with screws whose axes are indicated with "X", at a first lower height, designed to engage with the perimeter faces lower 5 of the slabs that make up the cladding system.
The sheets are then mounted, making sure that the first profile PV1 of these engages above the second profile PV2 of the hooks.
In this way each slab is supported by the hooks 11 and at the same time the lower perimeter face 5 of these is kept pushed against the upright 3 by the force-weight component P0.
By making each plate adhere well to the contact plane PC of the uprights 3, a second upper row of hooks 11 is positioned and fixed, so that the second extension sections 14 are fitted onto the first lips 6 of the first row of supported plates.
The hooks 11 that form this second row are fixed at such a height as to maintain a free "Î ́" between perimeter faces 4 and 5 facing each other and, consequently, between the first lips 6 and the inclined support surfaces 13 ( or 13 ').
Subsequently, a new row of plates is prepared on the second row of hooks 11, as described above, and this process is repeated until the entire facade is covered.
When a sheet of the cladding must be replaced for any reason, for example due to damage, it is sufficient to lift the sheet from its support on the second PV2 profile, making it slide on the uprights 3 until there are two concave PV1 profiles and PV2 convex are completely disengaged from each other, using the clearance "Î ́" provided for this purpose as lifting space (see Figure 2 which illustrates this condition).
Subsequently (see Figure 3) the slab is rotated with the lower perimeter face outwards and, then, lowering it progressively, the first lip 6 is removed from the top downwards from the engagement with the second portion 13 of the hook 11 which holds it in contact with the upright 3.
In this way the slab to be replaced is free and, by proceeding in the reverse direction to what is described for disassembly, it is possible to mount a new slab to replace the previous one, without having to disassemble contiguous slabs to allow disassembly of the desired one.
In the same way, the plates are assembled and disassembled when the hooks are of the two-component type, 111A and 111B, with the only difference that these are fixed to the upright 3 independently of each other.
