LETTIERE PER CATTI E PICCOLI ANIMALI DOMESTICI LITTERS FOR CATTS AND SMALL PETS
CON ANTIPARASSITARIO NATURALE WITH NATURAL PESTICIDE
The present invention was born in response to two still unresolved questions concerning the sector of pet bedding. Do not ? the obstacle that stands between a traditional litter box and the health of its user has still been overcome: cat, hamster, rabbit, etc. In fact, 95% of the litter market? composed of mineral litter based on clays which, by their very nature, contain a considerable part of fine dust. It is inevitable for the pet to inhale a part of it every time it enters the litter box to fulfill its needs. Recent studies from the USA undeniably clarify the correlation between respiratory diseases in animals and the use of mineral litter. In addition, especially kittens, they tend to ingest bits of litter which, settling in the digestive system can cause serious problems in the stomach and intestines. Starting from this assumption, and from what we will describe later, the invention aims to overcome this first obstacle represented by a correct use of a litter which in turn can be considered valid for animal health.
To be able to obtain a litter free of dust, but at the same time capable of absorbing liquids in an excellent way, yes? developed and industrialized a manufacturing process that, starting from renewable raw materials - cereals and its derivatives - could then arrive at the finished product in times and ways that respect the production economy, cereals, in our case corn, mainly rice and barley are reduced to flour through the use of a hammer mill which allows to obtain a product particle size suitable for being then introduced into an extruder. Before de! its entry into the extruder, the raw material in flour makes a journey on a treadmill during which it is integrated by other components through the opening d? silos containing sodium acid pyrophosphate and calcium sulphate. The combined action of these two elements allows to break down the fammonia contained in the animal manure and to inhibit its formation using a minimum percentage, around 1.5%. Is it scientifically proven that? responsible for the odors created by urine and feces are represented by seven molecules. The result obtained by combining the action of the various components, and especially the rice husk with the sodium acid pyrophosphate, allows the litter object of the invention to break down the seven molecules thus eliminating? the problem of unpleasant odors at the root. There is no other product that can? obtain the same results using only renewable raw materials added.
Once prepared, the compound enters the extruder where, with the addition of water vapor, it undergoes a transformation that leads to swelling, incorporating a! inside it a myriad of cavities. The extruder then exerts considerable pressure on the compound pushing it towards the outside where it reaches after passing through a die which has the possibility? then to give the product the chosen size and shape. After the exit die, a series of d? knives allow us to obtain the size of the granule pi? fit for purpose. It then passes into the dryer that has the capacity? to bring humidity? of the finished product to about 7/8%. The last step takes place in the automatic bagging machine that can? pack up to 800 bags of litter per hour. At the end of the production process described above as an example, yes? has a litter box with a density? apparent of 400/450 g. liter and a capacity? absorbent of liquids equal to 250/300% of its volume, thanks to those cavities? internal formed during the passage inside the extruder. The desired and obtained particle size varies from a diameter of 2 mm to 6 mm, this allows us - through the use of a vibrating screen placed above the bagging machine - to eliminate those fine parts which will then be reused upstream in the production process. The litter so? obtained will be? free of fine powders and very light compared to mineral-based ones, despite having a capacity? almost triple absorbent.
The other important aspect that the invention has intended to address and resolve concerns the possibility? to obtain an antiparasitic effect from the litter itself in a completely healthy way for feline Tannic.
At this point it was a question of finding a natural component, therefore deriving from the plant world, which had the properties? requests.
Yup ? identified the possibility? to use for this purpose the powder derived from the grinding of the seeds of the Neem plant (Azadirachta Indica) which in India is called? the Village Pharmacy? such and many are its properties.
Among the many, Neem is recognized for its effective antiparasitic action against about 200 different insects and parasites, including fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.
AND? in fact scientifically proven that a small amount? of active principle (azadirachtin) prevents the reproduction of parasites and promotes their removal.
The repellent action against insects and parasites allows you to obtain the same result that you would have using an excellent but toxic insecticide, without having to suffer any side effects.
By incorporating the Neem powder during the processing of the litter we obtain a product that combines the specific function of absorbing with that of natural pesticide.
The invention? easily disposed of in the WG of the house without creating any problem with the drains, or can? be used as a fertilizer in the soil, since once used, ammonia is neutralized.
In addition, we must consider that it consumes less than those already? on] the market why? absorbs a lot of d? more ?.
AND? easy to use why? in contact with liquids it agglomerates in a completely natural way, through the starches contained in cereals, forming an odorless ball that can? be removed very easily.
