Claims

CLAIMS 1. An extendable table comprising: two half-tops (21, 23) movable relative to each other along a support system (5, 7, 9, 11) an extension (35) which can be inserted between the two half-tops when these they are moved away from each other to form a support surface of greater extension; and an extension insertion mechanism, characterized by the fact that said extension (35) is supported by a plurality of lifting and lowering screw members (39, 41), at least one of which is equipped with a maneuvering means (49) , joined together by a mechanical transmission with a flexible member (47).

2. Extendable table as per claim 1, characterized in that each of said screw members comprises a screw (39) integral with said extension and an internally threaded tubular element (41) integral with the support system (5, 7, 9, 11).

3. Extendable table as per claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a wheel (45) is integral with each screw member (39, 41) around which said flexible member (47) is returned.

4. Extendable table as per claim 3, characterized in that said wheel is a toothed wheel and said flexible member is a chain.

Extendable table according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said support system comprises a pair of portal frames (5, 7) with crosspieces extending in the direction of extension of the table and defining sliding guides for bars ( 25, 27, 29, 31) bearing said two semi-floors (21, 23).

6. Extendable table as per claim 5, characterized in that said two portal frames are joined together by two intermediate beams (9, 11), to which said internally threaded tubular elements (41) are engaged.

7. Extendable table as per claim 5 or 6, characterized in that said portal frames (5, 7) each consist of a pair of L-shaped profiles.

8. Extendable table with a pair of half-tops and an extension that can be inserted between them, comprising one or more of the characteristics described and / or illustrated, according to any inventive combination thereof.
