Technical field of the invention

The present invention refers to a device for lifting disabled people with motor dysfunctions integrated in the wheelchair, applicable for the medical field, such as for example hospitals, private clinics, rest homes; for the private sector and the hotel sector.

State of the art and possible citations

To date, the lifts for the disabled on the market can be operated by at least two or more people, they are bulky, not automated and difficult to transport.

The use of lifts present on the market with which disabled people are moved, for example from the wheelchair to the bed, or from the wheelchair to the toilet, constitute a real problem as regards the size and their portability.

Their use currently entails the following limits:

- their large dimensions require great room for maneuver;

- due to their large size, a considerable weight ensues;

- they are not easily removable;

- the lifting operation is not completely automated;

- reduce the travel possibilities of the patient, who does not always find lifting devices or sufficiently large rooms in the hotel facilities;

- the need to have two or more people to assist the disabled person during the lifting operation;

- the need to put them away forces you to have large spaces available.

Technical problem to be solved

The present invention has the task of realizing an automated device for lifting disabled people with motor dysfunctions integrated in the wheelchair.

This device makes it possible in the first place to make disabled people more autonomous, as they will always have this aid for their movements.

Another object is to reduce the need to use large maneuvering spaces since the lift is compact and integrated with the wheelchair.

It should also be emphasized that the automated lifting device, using various technical devices such as hinges, pins and sliding parts, can be easily stored behind the back of the wheelchair.

Special brackets allow it to be adapted to wheelchairs on the market. To ensure more stability and therefore more safety in operations, two stabilizers have been applied to the wheelchair.

Description of the invention

These purposes are achieved through the use of a lifting system integrated into the wheelchair.

The system integrated into the wheelchair, to automatically lift disabled people, is:

- automated, because lifting and lowering are completely automatic thanks to the electric actuator;

-stable, because it uses stabilizers that oppose the overturning moment that is generated during the lifting or descent of the disabled person;

- useful, because it can operate in confined spaces, such as hotel rooms.

The use of the lift integrated in the wheelchair allows to reduce to a minimum the number of people who have to help the disabled person while moving.

The patient lifting mode is developed in the following phases:

- the stabilizers are positioned;

- the lift is extracted from behind the backrest;

- the patient is supported with a special sling which is hooked to the lift arm;

-the electric actuator that raises the telescopic upright is activated;

- the upright is rotated on its own axis and the patient is moved, for example, on the bed;

- by reversing the direction of travel, the actuator is activated and the patient is lowered onto the bed;

- once the movement has been carried out, the patient is freed from the sling.

Advantages of the invention

Compared to the lifts on the market, the lifting system integrated into the wheelchair is:

-little bulky because being integrated into the wheelchair it is not large;

-built with latest generation materials that simultaneously guarantee resistance and lightness characteristics;

- can be integrated with any type of wheelchair, by means of a special device that facilitates assembly;

-resistant to overturning moments, thanks to the use of stabilizers;

- foldable behind the back of the wheelchair with a few simple gestures;

-automated in the lifting and lowering of the disabled person;

- transportable, thus allowing the disabled person to always have it available;

-usable in confined spaces, such as hotel rooms;

-managed by a single person;

- easily storable.

The proposed system is:

- simple to use;

- achievable at low cost;

- integrated into the wheelchair;

- foldable with a few simple gestures;

-small bulky;

-capable of making disabled people more autonomous.

Description of the figures of the drawings

The invention is described in detail, on the basis of the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment, which is schematically illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the attached figures.

Fig. 1 schematically illustrates the overall drawing of the lift integrated into the wheelchair equipped with stabilizers.

Description of at least one way of carrying out the invention with reference to the drawings as shown in Fig. 1.

The lift complete with stabilizers integrated into the wheelchair consists of:

â € ¢ the electric actuator (2) that allows the upright (15) and consequently the patient to rise and fall;

â € ¢ the upright (15) is a telescopic device formed by a fixed tubular element and a sliding rod. The upright (15) consists of: a fixed lower cylinder (4) inside which there is a sliding rod keyed to the stem of the electric actuator (2); a central part, also called a braking rotary joint (5), which guarantees rotation control; a hinge (6) which will facilitate, during the rest phase, the folding of the upright (15); an upper telescopic cylinder (8) which has a locking pin (7) to obtain two different levels in height.

â € ¢ the telescopic arm (16) is made up of a rectangular section tube (11) inside which slides a perforated rod (12) to which the patient sling is attached. The locking pin (10) allows the sliding rod (12) to be locked in different working positions or in rest position. The telescopic arm (16) is connected by means of a hinge with locking system (9) to the upper telescopic cylinder (8). The hinge with locking system (9) allows, in the rest phase, the folding of the telescopic arm (16).

â € ¢ two anchoring devices (3) that allow easy adaptation of the lift to any electric wheelchair;

â € ¢ two stabilizers (17) made up of a rectangular section tube (1) inside which slides a rod (14) at the end of which there is an adjustable foot (13). The stabilizers (17) oppose the overturning moment that is created when the patient is lifted or repositioned. The rear stabilizer also acts as a support for the electric actuator (2).

All the parts of the lift integrated into the wheelchair with stabilizers, apart from the electric actuator (2), have been obtained through machining with machine tools.

CLAIMS 1. Automated lifting system for the disabled integrated in the wheelchair, comprising: an electric actuator (2); an upright (15); a telescopic arm (16); two stabilizers (17); a hinge with locking system (9) for folding the telescopic arm (16); a hinge (6) for folding up the upright (15); two anchoring devices (3); a brake rotary joint (5). 2. Automated lifting system for disabled people integrated with the wheelchair, according to claim 1, characterized in that an electric actuator is used to lift and reposition the patient. 3. Automated lifting system for the disabled integrated into the wheelchair, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that an upright (15) is used consisting of: a lower fixed cylinder (4) inside which there is a rod sliding keyed to the stem of the electric actuator (2); a central part, also called a braking rotary joint (5), which guarantees rotation control; a hinge (6) which will facilitate, during the rest phase, the folding of the upright (15); an upper telescopic cylinder (8) which has a locking pin (7) to obtain two different levels in height. 4. Automated lifting system for the disabled integrated into the wheelchair, according to claim 1, characterized in that a telescopic arm (16) is used consisting of a tubular section with a rectangular section (11) inside which a perforated rod (12) slides. ) to which the patient sling is attached. The locking pin (10) allows the sliding rod (12) to be locked in different working positions or in rest position. The telescopic arm (16) is connected by means of a hinge with locking system (9) to the upper telescopic cylinder (8). The hinge with locking system (9) allows, in the rest phase, the folding of the telescopic arm (16). 5. Automated lifting system for the disabled integrated into the wheelchair, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that it has two stabilizers (17) which oppose the overturning moment that is created during the lifting or lowering of the patient, composed of a tubular of rectangular section (1) inside which slides a rod (14) at the end of which there is an adjustable foot (13). The rear stabilizer also acts as a holder for the electric actuator (2). 6. Automated lifting system for the disabled integrated into the wheelchair, according to claim 1, characterized in that two anchoring devices (3) are used which allow the lift to be easily adapted to each electric wheelchair. 7. Automated lifting system for the disabled integrated into the wheelchair, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the hinge (6), the locking system (9) and the locking pin (7) allow easy housing of the system behind the backrest of the wheelchair. 8. Automated lifting system for the disabled integrated into the wheelchair, according to claim 1, characterized in that it uses a braking rotary joint (5) which guarantees the control of the rotation of the upper part of the upright and, consequently, of the telescopic arm (16 ).
