CLAIMS 1. Packaging comprising a product (11) wrapped in a respective casing (13) and means (15) for tearing and opening the casing, said product being in particular in the form of a container, a package, a box-like body or a group of products possibly to be kept grouped together, and said wrapper being in particular in the form of a sheet or piece of film obtained from a corresponding film or band, especially in plastic material, such as polypropylene; said tearing means comprising an elongated element or ribbon (15) which extends peripherally to the casing and which is adapted to tear said casing and gripping and pulling means of the elongated element, which gripping and traction means comprise a respective extreme portion (115 ') of the elongated element; characterized in that said gripping and pulling means of the elongated element comprise the opposite extreme portion (115 ") of the elongated element, which is separate, or separable, from the main part (115p) that wraps the product and of the 'other extreme portion (115'), of the same elongated element.

Process for making a wrapping envelope (13) for a product (11) to define a corresponding package; said product (11) being in particular in the form of a container, a package, a box-like body or a group of products possibly to be kept grouped together, and said wrapper (13) being in the form of a sheet or piece of film obtained from a corresponding film or band (113), in particular of plastic material, such as polypropylene; the method foresees to prepare, in particular to feed, said film or band (113) provided with respective means for tearing the product, in particular in the form of a strip or band (115) able to define an elongated element or ribbon (15) of tearing of the wrapping, which is able to extend, in use, peripherally to the product wrapped by the said wrapping; characterized in that said tear strip or band (115) extends for the entire useful length of the film (113); and by the fact that in said strip or band, means are torn (115) which separate, or make separable, from each other the corresponding portion (115a) of the strip or band which is upstream of said separation means and portion (115b) of the strip or band which is downstream of said separation means, so that, in use, a respective extreme portion (115 ") of the corresponding elongated tearing element is separated, or separable, from the main part (115p) for winding the product and from the other extreme portion (115 ') of the same elongated element (15).

Process according to claim 5, characterized in that in the tearing strip or band (115) means (117) for separating the respective upstream (115a) and downstream (115b) portions of said strip or elongated band (115), at longitudinal distances (L) corresponding to the length of the envelope to be made.
