Abstract

Nella purificazione di anidride maleica ottenuta con processo di ossidazione mediante assorbimento con un solvente organico, frazionamento della fase liquida risultante e purificazione dell'anidride maleica grezza così separata, purificazione effettuata mediante due colonne di frazionamento poste in serie, si evita l'accumulo di acido acrilico polimerizzabile in testa alla prima colonna di frazionamento della sezione di purificazione e l'accumulo di acqua ed acido maleico in testa alla seconda colonna di frazionamento della sezione di purificazione mediante invio dei vapori di testa della detta prima colonna di frazionamento di una torre di assorbimento, preferibilmente operante con lo stesso solvente organico di assorbimento utilizzato per assorbire l'anidride maleica grezza dalla miscela di reazione, e mediante invio dei vapori di testa di detta seconda colonna di frazionamento di detta sezione di purificazione a due condensatori disposti in serie in modo che la frazione gassosa in uscita dal primo condensatore alimenta detto secondo condensatore.
