Abstract
Material providing bright carbon for foundry work for the preparation of greensand moulds containing at least siliceous sand, a clay binder and water, comprising a mixture of glycerides derived from fatty acids having a medium/high level of unsaturation in which the percentage of fatty acids is not less than 40%. The use of this additive prevents the formation of contaminating substances such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons which are harmful to health.
