Abstract
A first product which is fed to units having electrolytic cells for the formation of activated bromine chloride solutions for the disinfection of swimming pool water comprises a mixture of salts in powder form consisting of: sodium bromide: 60-70% sodium chloride: 30-20% sodium bisulphate: 10-7% with the possible addition of potassium iodide. A second product which is designed to be added directly to swimming pools comprises an aqueous solution of the above product activated in electrolytic cells in order to form bromine chloride, with the addition of a quantity of sodium bisulphate such as to bring the pH of the activated solution to values between 1 and 2.
