Abstract
Una prima scala magnetica consistente di una pluralità di parti non magnetiche è disposta assialmente ad uguali intervalli ed una seconda scala magnetica consistente di una pluralità di parti non magnetiche disposte assialmente ad intervalli disuguali sono formate parallelamente una all'altra su uno stelo consistente di un materiale magnetico il quale può essere spostato in direzione assiale. Le parti non magnetiche della seconda scala sono disposte simmetricamente su ambedue i lati di una predeterminata posizione sullo stelo. Un primo ed un secondo sensore magnetico sono disposti in posizioni fisse rivolte contro le scale. Una memoria che memorizza singolarmente la posizione assoluta di ciascuna parte non magnetica della seconda scala magnetica in anticipo, un meccanismo che rivela l'intervallo fra le parti non magnetiche che passano attraverso il secondo sensore ed un meccanismo per distinguere su quale lato è situato il secondo sensore con riferimento alla summenzionata posizione predeterminata sono forniti in combinazione con un meccanismo per identificare una parte non magnetica che è passata, sulla base della distinzione del risultato del meccanismo di distinzione e dell'intervallo rivelato, un meccanismo per calcolare l'ammontare dello spostamento dell'asta o stelo dalla parte magnetica identificata fino alla sua posizione corrente, sulla base del segnale di uscita dal primo sensore, nonché un meccanismo per calcolare la posizione corrente dell'asta dalla posizione assoluta della parte magnetica identificata e sulla base dello spostamento calcolato. In questa maniera, la distanza di spostamento dell'asta richiesta per ottenere una informazione sulla posizione assoluta viene ridotta.
