Abstract

Un procedimento per determinare lo stato d'invecchiamento di un catalizzatore è disposto nella corrente del gas di scarico di un motore endotermico e che viene fatto funzionare con una regolazione lambda con comportamento a due punti e fornisce valutazioni con l'ausilio di una grandezza dello stato d'invecchiamento, per il fatto che vengono messi reciprocamente in relazione un segnale misurato ed un segnale di prova, laddove il segnale misurato viene rilevato da una sonda lambda disposta a monte del catalizzatore mentre il segnale di. prova viene rilevato da una sonda lambda disposta a valle del catalizzatore, e caratterizzato dal fatto che per ridurre l'influenza di differenti stati d'esercizio sulla grandezza dello stato d'invecchiamento vengono rilevati di volta in volta valori attuali di grandezze dello stato d'esercizio influenzanti processi d'immagazzinamento dell'ossigeno nel catalizzatore, e la grandezza dello stato d'invecchiamento viene corretta sulla base di questi valori.Per il fatto che la grandezza dello stato d'invecchiamento viene corretta nella modalità menzionata, essa può essere determinata in maniera affidabile per molti differenti stati d'esercizio e non soltanto per pochi scelti stati d'esercizio.
