E' descritto un processo per l'estrazione del complesso Fattore VIII - Fattore von Willebrand (FVIII:C - FvW) da plasma umano totale comprendente lo scongelamento del plasma a temperatura ambiente previa stabilizzazione, l'assorbimento selettivo su scambiatore anionico dei fattori costituenti il complesso protrombinico, l'estrazione sempre su scambiatore anionico del complesso Fattore VIII - Fattore von Willebrand (FVIII:C - FvW) e una ulteriore purificazione per mezzo di uno scambiatore cationico del complesso FVIII:C FvW opportunamente stabilizzato e inattivato.
