Abstract

A pin mill 1 presents two rotors 3, 4 which enclose the grinding zone 6 between themselves. Both of the rotors 3, 4 each have a first carrying plate 13, 16 and a second carrying plate 14, 15, parallel to the first one, which are all supported on an actuation shaft 10. The pins 5 at one end are attached to the first carrying plates 13, 16 in a circular disposition, such that they extend in the direction away from the first carrying plate which supports them, through openings in the second carrying plates, in the direction of the other rotor. The pin mill further has an air circulation device, which thanks to a special shape of the body 2c of the mill in the entire unloading zone, ensures approximately equal flow rates.
