Abstract

Conveying unit - transfer unit - which comprises a chain conveyor or wheel (1) having vanes (2) provided with bores (3). Two neighbouring vanes (2) form a material compartment (4). A number of compartments (5) are equipped with walls at the sides (6) and at the circumference (7) and these compartments can be connected to an energy source (8). The conveying unit - transfer unit - is preferably used for soft products which are introduced into the material compartment (4) between two vanes (2), are held firmly on a vane (11) by suction and are braked smoothly when the compartments (5) are subjected to vacuum. The wheel (1) rotates and the products (10) can be blown out with the aid of the nozzles (9). <IMAGE>
