Abstract

Metodo per la rimozione di prodotti idrocarburici della superficie di un mezzo acquoso, in particolare dalla superficie di masse d'acqua quali il mare, fiumi, laghi, bacini, ecc., che consiste nel mettere a contatto i prodotti idrocarburici con un materiale elastomerico in forma suddivisa costituito essenzialmente da un copolimero etilene/?-olefina, opzionalmente contenente come termonomero un diene. Il materiale elastomerico assorbe gli idrocarburi, con formazione di una massa gelatinosa, omogenea e poco appiccicosa, che galleggia sull'acqua e può essere facilmente raccolta con mezzi meccanici convenzionali.
