Abstract

A device which allows a rotational movement to be transmitted between two non-aligned axles is described; the device consists of a plurality of spherical elements which are independent of each other and mounted simply next to each other and connected angularly together by means of an OLDHAM system; the spherical elements are kept in mutual engagement by means of a resilient spiral which is fitted over the combined elements and which integrally abuts against two opposite end elements which are respectively connected to the first and the last of the adjacent spherical elements and are provided with respective means for effecting a mechanical connection to said axles; in this way it is possible to transmit a relatively high torque between the latter.
