Abstract
The process to texturise synthetic textile material, in the form of a band of staple fibres or continuous filaments, uses a mechanically-applied distortion on the material. The material is fed to a heated press station at a higher speed than its drawing-off speed, when it is cooled and wound under controlled tension. The process texturises the synthetic material consistently so that the end-prod. has the dry and soft feel of natural fibres.
