Abstract
The multicylinder rotary compressor comprises a number of cylinders which are disposed in parallel with one another and a crankshaft which extends through the cylinders and which has a number of eccentric lobes formed on it. Each of the eccentric cylindrical lobes are disposed inside one of the cylinders. There are a number of rolling pistons, each of which loosely fits on one of the eccentric cylindrical lobes so as to rotate on it and is rolling contact with the inner surface of one of the cylinders. There is an electric motor to which the crankshaft is connected so as to be rotated by it. A number of reciprocating vanes are each slidably disposed inside the wall of one of the cylinders with one end in sliding contact with the outer surface of one of the rolling pistons. Each vane divides the inside of the cylinder in which it is disposed into a suction chamber and a compression chamber. A number of suction pipes are each opened onto the inside of the suction chamber of one of the cylinders.
