Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a suction and exhaust valve, by a method wherein a rotor cylinder liner having an opening is disposed to the interior of each of a plurality of cylinders each having a suction port and an exhaust port, and two pistons are disposed to the interior of each liner. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary cylinder liner 2 disposed to the interior of a cylinder block 1 is rotated, its opening part 3 is communicated to a suction port 4, and combustion gas is sucked. When the opening part 3 is closed along with rotation of the liner 2, since two pistons 7 inserted in the liner 2 are respectively moved in the direction of a central part, combustion gas is compressed. When the compressed gas is ignited by means of an ignition plug 6 for combustion, the two piston 7 are moved in a reverse direction to each other. Further, reciprocating movement of the two pistons 7 is converted into rotational movement of a crank shaft 9 through a connecting rod 10. Thereafter, when, along with rotation of the liner 2, the opening part 3 is communicated to an exhaust port 5, combustion exhaust gas is discharged.
