Abstract
The sparks and grinding dust from the grinding operation are sucked from the grinding area into the side of a vertical pipe which is located inside the grinding machine. The bottom end of the vertical pipe is connected to a tank, the bottom of which is covered with water. The top of the vertical pipe is covered by a filter which is open to the outside. The airstream carrying small particles of dust will be deflected upward and pass through the filter. The heavier glowing metal particles will hit the rear face of the vertical pipe and fall in the tank.
