Abstract
Improvements in the construction of collectors for filtering suspended solids in gaseous media, of the type that include a box with an intake opening through which the gas to be filtered is introduced into the collector, an intake overpressure chamber in said box, in communication with said opening for the introduction of gas to be cleaned in the intake overpressure chamber, a hopper at the base of said intake overpressure chamber to receive separate solids and two or more filter tubes mounted in said intake overpressure chamber that provide a filtering surface in which the solids are separated from the gaseous medium that passes through said filters; characterized in that said collector comprises means to effect the displacement of accumulated solids on the surface of the filter tubes without stopping the introduction of gas to be filtered, provided with a nozzle which penetrates inside each filter tube and means in communication with each nozzle with a gas source at a higher pressure than the gas to be cleaned and which is introduced into the overpressure chamber, a venturi mounted in telescopic relationship and axial alignment with each nozzle, therefore blows secondary gas into the venturi in response to the impulse of compressed gas from the nozzle to join the jet of gas leaving the venturi into the filter tube and cause displacement of accumulated solids on the filter surface, and means for introducing the gas to be filtered in the intake overpressure chamber at a level of transverse alignment with an upper part of the f filter, and a baffle mounted between the intake port and the filter tubes to prevent gas flow seeps directly into contact with the filter tubes and to distribute the gas to be filtered through the overpressure chamber of admission.
