Abstract

The fluid machine has a stator enclosing several rotors which rotate on parallel shafts supported by bearing in the stator side cover plates. The shafts are interconnected by a gear train for synchronous rotation of the rotors in the same direction and at the same speed. The stator houses a cylindrical main cavity intersected by cylindrical secondary cavities, a rotary piston of linticulr cross section being constituted by one of the rotors. The rotary piston is housed in the main cavity, and cooperates with abutment rotors in the secondary cavities. The rotors have sealing members engaging the walls of the respective cavities, and define variable volume chambers in the cavities.
