Abstract
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an aluminum alloy material which is useful in various aluminum alloy structures and which can be joined even in the form of a single layer and does not suffer from a shape change before and after the joining. The problem can be resolved by an aluminum alloy material which contains 1 to 5 mass% of Si and 0.01 to 2.0 mass% of Fe with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities and in which Si based intermetallic compound particles having equivalent circle diameters of 0.5 to 5µm are present in the section in an amount of 250 to 7×10particles/mm while Al based intermetallic compound particles having equivalent circle diameters of 0.5 to 5µm are present therein in an amount of 100 to 7×10 particles/mm. This aluminum alloy structure can be produced by joining in a vacuum or a non oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature such that the mass ratio of a liquid phase formed in the aluminum alloy material at the temperature to the aluminum alloy material falls in the range of 5 to 35%.
