Abstract

A system (10) for guarding movable objects comprising: a monitoring unit (11) which includes: a receiver for receiving plural incoming signal transmissions; timing means (28); means (16), associated with said receiver, for verifying the legality of each incoming signal transmission, and including means for resetting said timing means in response to reception of a legal transmission; alarm means (44); and a power source (34); and at least one transmission unit attached to a movable object so as to be movable therewith, wherein each said transmission unit includes: means (24) for periodically transmitting predetermined signals for reception by said receiver of said monitoring unit, and a power source (46), and wherein, in the absence of reception of a legal transmission, and after a predetermined time period has elapsed, said timing means is operative to provide an output signal so as to cause activation of said alarm means so as to provide an alarm indication at said monitoring unit. This specification was examined in accordance with regulation 35 of the Patent Regulations, 5728-1968.
