Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a failed point with accuracy less than the interval of relay devices, by setting a switching frequency of pseudo noise series to a predetermined frequency for a relay device at a terminal station, changing the delay time and monitoring the correlation processing information transmitted from a failure information transmission line with an indicating meter. CONSTITUTION:A code generator 11 is provided at a transmission section and output of a clock pulse generator 12 is frequency-divided at a frequency-divider 13 and given to a pseudo noise generator 14. A pseudo noise series PN1 is also supplied to a frequency divider 16, the switch 17 is controlled with the output, and the PN1 is switched with a PN2 of a delay device 15. A signal of an input terminal 18 is supplied to a relay device 4 through a signal transmission cable 31 of a transmission line 21, and via a terminal I1. The signal is transmitted to a terminal station 12 through a coupler 22 in a correlation reception section 21 and relay amplifier 19, and cable 32 of the transmission line 22 in the relay device 4.
