Abstract

The insecticide contains, as active ingredient, a compound of the formula: <IMAGE> in the form of a mixture with an agriculturally acceptable extender. The compounds of the formula I are prepared by 1) Reacting a compound of the formula: <IMAGE> with a phosphonium salt of the sub-formula: <IMAGE> 2) Hydrolysing the resulting ester of the formula: <IMAGE> 3) Converting the free acid obtained into an acid halide and 4) Esterifying the acid-halide with an alcohol of the formula R-OH. In the formulae, R, X, Y and n have the meanings given in Patent Claim 1 and R' has the meaning given in Patent Claim 9. [GB1556783A]
