Abstract

A container (10) comprises several nutrient components separated from one another by plugs (26, 28, 30) and is sealed by a stopper (18). For use, a thin membrane (24) of the stopper (18) is pierced through by the tip of the mandril of a rod-shaped device, all the plugs (26, 28, 30) are pressed out of their seats and the contents of the individual compartments in the container (10) are mixed. Thereafter, the container (10) is placed by means of the rod-shaped device on to a bottle (54) containing solvent, in such a way that the mixed components flow out of the container (10) via channels (36, 38) in the rod-shaped device and into the bottle (54). This facilitates quick preparation and prevention of mistakes when determining the quantities of medical nutrient solutions. <IMAGE> [GB1526015A]
