1471086 Packages formed from laminated material AMERICAN BRANDS Inc 23 May 1975 [4 Sept 1974] 22855/75 Heading B8P An hermetically sealed package containing a tobacco product is formed from a single laminated sheet comprising an inner layer of polyethylene having a thickness of about 0À001 inch. a metallic foil having a thickness between 0À0003 and 0À0004 inch., an outer layer of polyethylene having a thickness between 0À0002 and 0À0008 inch. and an outermost layer of cellulose plastics material having a thickness between 0À0014 and 0À0008 inch. The package has fin seals 12 and has one or more notches, or alternatively scores, to facilitate opening. The metal foil may be of aluminium, copper or tin. A conventional label and an outer transparent removable covering can be provided. [GB1471086A]
