Abstract

1493574 Springs NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 7 Nov 1974 [8 Nov 1973] 51931/73 Heading F2S [Also in Division A1] A mounting assembly comprises an operating arm 11 pivoted to an outwardly extending portion of a carrier, e.g. a lug of a rotor 12 by for example a bolt 13, a resilient element 15 for locating the arm in a required working position which is compressed when the arm is pivoted out of its working position, and a housing 14 for the resilient element pivoted to the carrier and the arm, for example on the bolt 13, for pivoting during the compression of the resilient material. In various embodiments described the arm may be a haymaking tine, a mower flail or a soil working implement. The resilient element 15 may have holes 82<SP>1</SP> in it and may be of natural or synthetic rubber, or plastics material. A wear plate 19 may be disposed between the element 15 and portions of the carrier and the arm. [GB1493574A]
