Abstract

1428052 Bins HOOVER BALL & BEARING CO 23 Jan 1974 [26 Jan 1973] 03127/74 Heading B8P To ensure a dust-proof seal around a door at the lower edge of a side wall of a bin the door has a sealing gasket 44 engaged by a horizontal flange 24 around the opening. The gasket may be of rubber. The flange at the lower edge of the door is constituted by a forwardly extending portion of the bottom plate 18. A filling opening is provided in the bin top. The door is hinged by a portion 29 engaging a member 30, the member 30 having co-operating portions (34), Fig. 7 (not shown), at each end. A latch 46 including a cam 50 for engagement with a plate 48 clamps the door shut. Member 30 also acts as a bumper to protect the door. [GB1428052A]
