Abstract

1422666 Metal chlorate/residual herbicide compositions PHILAGRO 13 June 1973 [13 June 1972 12 Jan 1973] 28166/73 Heading A5E A process for producing a herbicidal composition not liable to explode and comprising at least one alkali metal or alkaline earth metal chlorate, at least one residual organic herbicide, at least 2% of inert antilumping filler and from 4 to 20% of water, comprises wet or dry mixing the chlorate, the filler and the herbicide and subsequently adjusting the moisture content of the mixture. Compositions resembling moist sand may be obtained. The antilumping filler may be a silica compound such as a silicate and the residual herbicide may be a substituted urea, a triazine, a halogenated carboxylic acid or a salt, ester or amide thereof, or a uracil. A hygroscopic mineral salt such as calcium or magnesium chloride also may be present in the composition. [GB1422666A]
