Abstract

1403189 Plaster-boards BPB INDUSTRIES Ltd 12 Oct 1972 [22 Oct 1971 15 May 1972] 49277/71 and 22650/72 Heading EIB [Also in Division B5] In a plaster board moulding process the bottom sheet of paper 12 Fig, 1 is fed from a supply roll over an arcuate guide 13 on to a table 11 below slurry discharge nozzles of a mixer 14 and the top sheet of paper 25 is applied by a roller 15. The bottom sheet is scored by rollers 17 and its edges receive adhesive from applicators 18 to which edges, channel or angle shaped, preferably metal, reinforcement elements 20 are applied by pressure rollers 21, 22 Fig. 3, before the edges are folded up by plates 16. The flanges of the reinforcement elements may be perforated at 30 Fig. 4, so that the bead 31 of the hot melt adhesive 32 keys to the slurry core 33. In another example, not shown, the channel of the reinforcement element has a bulbous end. [GB1403189A]
