1295447 Compositions comprising morpholine derivatives IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 9 Nov 1970 [17 Nov 1969] 56086/69 Addition to 1138405 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions useful in the treatment of anxiety and neurotic states and for the treatment or prophylaxis of depressive illness comprise, in admixture with a suitable diluent as carrier, a compound I in which R<SP>1</SP> is H, alkyl, alkenyl, or cycloalkyl; R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are H or alkyl, at least one being alkyl; or R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> together with the two adjacent carbon atoms form a cycloalkane ring and R<SP>4</SP> is H or alkyl; and X is an optionally substituted aryl radical. The compositions may be administered orally or parenterally. Other ingredients present may include neuroleptic agents, other sedatives and tranquillisers, anticonvulsants, #-adrenergic blocking agents, anti-Parkinson drugs, other antidepressants and monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
