1288568 Sterilizing compositions containing ethylene oxide IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 22 April 1970 [12 May 1969] 25865/69 Heading A5E A sterilizing composition for use in a method wherein an article to be sterilized is contacted with a sterilizing vapour, comprises pentafluoro chloroethane and ethylene oxide in a ratio by weight of at least 2/1, and optionally a non-inflammable diluent, such as a chloro or chlorofluoro derivative of methane or ethane, and/or a vapour suppressant such as tetrafluorodichloroethane. The compositions find application in sterilizing medical equipment, clothing and pharmaceutical packaging. [GB1288568A]
