Claims (15)
1. Sustav za modulaciju spinalnih neurona povezan s regulacijom djelovanja efektorskih organa u tijelu kralješnjaka, sustav obuhvaća:
prvu stimulacijsku komponentu konfiguriranu na način da omogućava stimulaciju živca povezanog s ciljnim efektorskim organom; pri čemu je prva stimulacijska komponenta konfigurirana na način da pruža električnu stimulaciju istosmjernom strujom; te
drugu stimulacijsku komponentu konfiguriranu na način da omogućava stimulaciju istosmjernom strujom povezanu s modulacijom navedenog ciljanog efektorskog organa; pri čemu je druga stimulacijska komponenta konfigurirana na način da pruža spinalnu kontinuiranu stimulaciju konstantnom istosmjernom strujom; i
kontrolnu komponentu konfiguriranu na način da simultano kontrolira doseg struje koju dovode prva i druga stimulacijska komponenta i uspostavlja gornju granicu struje prve komponente ne višu od struje na drugoj stimulacijskoj komponenti.
2. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 1 pri čemu je prva stimulacijska komponenta konfigurirana na način da omogućava:
(a) kontinuiranu stimulaciju konstantnom električnom strujom; ili
(b) pulsirajuću električnu stimulaciju.
3. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 1 nadalje obuhvaća kontrolnu komponentu konfiguriranu na način da simultano kontrolira opseg struje koja se pruža pomoću prve i druge stimulacijske komponente i uspostavlja gornju granicu struje prve komponente ne višu od struje na drugoj stimulacijskoj komponenti i dinamički prilagođava gornju granicu simultano s prilagođavanjem druge struje.
4. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 1 nadalje obuhvaća prvu komponentu struje konfiguriranu da pruža kontinuiranu konstantnu istosmjernu struju za stimulaciju živca povezanog s ciljnim efektorskim organom.
5. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 1 nadalje obuhvaća prvi električni izvor s pozitivnim i negativnim terminalima koji omogućuju stimulacijsku struju na stimulacijske elektrode, uključujući dvije elektrode za stimulaciju živca povezanog s ciljnim efektorskim organom; jedna elektroda operativno je povezana s pozitivnim terminalom i druga elektroda operativno povezana s negativnim terminalom; svaka od dvije elektrode električno je izolirana od druge elektrode.
6. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 5 pri čemu su dvije elektrode konfigurirane na način da budu pričvršćene za dio živca povezan s ciljnim mišićem radi omogućavanja kontinuirane električne stimulacije konstantnom istosmjernom strujom na dio živca mišića.
7. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 6 nadalje obuhvaća
drugi električni izvor koji ima drugi pozitivni terminal i drugi negativni terminal;
prvu elektrodu smještenu na mjesto leđne moždine; i
drugu elektrodu koja se nalazi na drugom odabranom mjestu na spinalnoj kolumni ili mjestu distalno od kralježnice; jedna od prve ili druge elektrode operativno je spojena na drugi pozitivni terminal i druga od prve ili druge elektrode operativno je spojena na drugi negativni terminal.
8. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 7 pri čemu su prvi električni izvor i drugi električni izvor isti električni izvor; te pri čemu je isti električni izvor onaj izvor koji proizvodi konstantnu istosmjernu struju.
9. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 1 pri čemu je navedena istosmjerna struja za spinalnu stimulaciju opsega od otprilke 2 ma do otprilike 5mA za terapiju mišićnog tonusa kod ljudi.
10. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 9 pri čemu su dvije elektrode usađene.
11. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 1 pri čemu je prvi električni izvor također usađen; i pri čemu je kontrolna komponenta operativno povezana s prvim električnim izvorom pomoću bežične veze.
12. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 11 pri čemu je kontrolna komponenta smještena u nosivom kućištu.
13. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 12 pri čemu je drugi električni izvor također smješten u nosivom kućištu.
14. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 13 pri čemu su kontrolna komponenta i isti električni izvor smješteni u nosivom kućištu.
15. Sustav sukladno zahtjevu 1 pri čemu je prva stimulacijska komponenta konfigurirana na način da omogući pulsirajuću električnu stimulaciju.
