Abstract

This invention concerns a new type of open- or closed-circuit solar water heater. Using a solar collection surface which is smaller or equal to that of current systems, it can heat up larger volumes of water by fully exploiting solar energy. This is possible because the water in the tank (1) is heated quickly and as a result the liquid in the closed-circuit of the tank (4) is supplied to the second tank (22) at a high temperature in order to exchange heat in the boiler's domestic water (2). Thus, the collector (3) constantly receives a mixture of cold or tepid water with anti-freeze for maximum performance.
