Abstract

A window especially designed for installation on an inclining roof is comprised of a frame (9) that is articulated on the upper edge thereof and is connected to a guide block (10) via a lifting arm (8) of which the said guide block may freely move alongside a driver (11) of the side element of the window frame. An intermediate element (15) is equipped with a transverse pin (20) which may be connected to a pocket (22) on the upper part of the guide block and the intermediate element is charged or loaded along the direction of the driver's lower end via a spring (13). A partition (16) places the intermediate element in a state of readiness for its joining. Once the window is installed on the roof, the appropriate pocket (22) is selected for insertion of the transverse pin according to the inclination of the roof; namely, the pocket corresponding to the desired power applied on the frame, which opens to the point that the transverse pin (20) is inserted in the selected pocket, hence the frame slightly is suspended to the "closed" position in order for the partition to be released and removed. The pre-stressed spring (13) is thereafter inserted in the window by the manufacturer whereas exertion of any force on the frame is not allowed in order to open the window during installation and operation of the window (Figure 2).
