Abstract

The invention relates to a retention device for a vehicle door, especially for a tractor cab or the like, this door being mounted on hinges 5 so as to close by itself, this device comprising a bent bar 8 fitting around a corner of the vehicle and fixed (at 7) to the door 4, and to a support 11 with the aid of a pin 14 which can be moved in a slot 13 combined with first retractable locking means 13a for holding the door in the open position B and with second retractable locking means 13b, 19 for holding the door in the folded down position C, actuation means 20, 21 being provided for freeing the door from this position C.
