Abstract
έθοδος αξιοποιήσεως γαιανθρακούχων σχιστόλιθων έχουσα ως αποτέλεσμα να απομονώσωμεν το αλουμίνιο υπό την μορφή θειικής ουδετέρας ενώσεως και τον σίδηρο υπό την μορφή οξειδίου τριδυνάμου σιδήρου συνιστάμενη η προαναφερθείσα μέθοδος εις το να πρασβάλλωμεν τον σχιστόλιθο δια μιας περίσσειας ενός διαλύματος πυκνού και θερμού θειικού οξέος να απομονώσωμεν την στερεά φάσιν και να την πλύνομε δια να απομονώσωμεν τα αδιάλυτα τα οποία απορρίπτονται των θειικών ενώσεως οι οποίοι επανεισάγονται εις το κύκλωμα εις το να κατεργασθώμεν την υγρά φάσιν δια ενός διαλύματος υδατικού αιθανόλης δια να κάμνωμεν να καταβυθιστεί το θειικό αλουμίνιο, σίδηρος και το κάλλιο να αναδιαλύσομεν εν θερμό τας θειικές ενώσεις εντός ενός διαλύματος υδατικού πυκνού θειικούοξέος και να καταβυσθίσωμεν δια ψύξεως όξινο θειικό κάλιο περιέχον πολύ μικρά ποσά αλουμινίου, ακολούθως δια διηθήσεως και συγκεντρώσεως του διηθήματος να κάμνωμεν εκεί να κρυσταλλωθεί θειικό αλουμίνιο το οποίο καθαρίζεται εν συνέχεια δια μιας σειράς κρυσταλλώσεων εντός ενός διαλύματος θερμού θειικού οξέος 50% περίπου. Οι κρύσταλλοι του θειικού σιδήρου και του θειικού καλίου οι απομονονθέτες κατά την διάρκεια της μεθόδου επανασυνενούνται οπτούνται και πλύνονται δια να απομονωθεί ο σίδηρος υπόμορφή οξειδίου και το κάλιο υπό μορφή θειικής ενώσεως.
