Abstract
Πολυόργανο "σήκω πάνω" ("stand up"), αποτελείται από ένα πολύζυγο (1), οριζόντιες μπάρες (2), μπάρες ρυθμίσεως βάσης (11), ζώνη (6,7,8) ασφάλειες ζώνης (4,5,15), βάση (9), δυο υπογονάτια (12), μαξιλαράκια υπογονατίων (16), αυτοκόλλητες ταινίες Velcro (13), υποπόδιο (14) και έναν ολόσωμο καθρέφτη (17). Με τη βοήθεια της ζώνης που συγκρατεί τον γλουτό, των υπογονατίων που συγκρατούν τα γόνατα, το υποπόδιο και το πολύζυγο στο οποίο στηρίζονται τα άνω άκρα, ο ανάπηρος ασθενής πετυχαίνει ενεργητική ορθοστάτηση. Η ενεργητική ορθοστάτηση με τη σειρά της δείχνει το δρόμο για διάφορες άλλες ασκήσεις,όπως το βαθύ κάθισμα, οι οποίες εκτελούνται πάντοτε ενεργητικά και με ασφάλεια. Η ενεργητική εκτέλεση των ασκήσεων συμβάλλει ιδιαίτερα στο κυκλοφορικό και το καρδιαγγειακό σύστημα του ασθενή, στην ενδυνάμωση σχεδόν όλων των μυών του σώματος, στη ρύθμιση του μεταβολισμού του, στην πρόληψη της οστεοπόρωσης, στην ελάττωση της σπαστικότητας, αλλά και στην καλυτέρευση της ισορροπίας του. Σημαντική θεωρείται και η παρουσία των διαδοχικών μπαρών στο πολύζυγο, καθώς με τη βοήθειά τους τα ανάπηρα άτομα επιλέγουν το βαθμό δυσκολίας για την κάθε άσκηση. Με τον ολόσωμο καθρέφτη παρακολουθώντας τον εαυτό τους όρθιο αλλά και βελτιωμένο σωματικά, οδηγούνται ταυτοχρόνως, στην ανάπλαση της ψυχικής τους υγείας.
