Abstract
Μια σειρά από διάφορα παράγωγα προστατευμένων διφαινυλαλανίνων και φαινυλαλανίνων συνδέθηκαν μέσω πεπτιδικού δεσμού με ένα μόριο πορφυρίνης σχηματίζοντας νέα υλικά. Μια συγκριτική μελέτη σε διάλυμα και σε στερεά κατάσταση απέδειξε ότι τα συγκεκριμένα υλικά έχουν την ικανότητα της αυτο-οργάνωσης, διατηρώντας παράλληλα τις ηλεκτρονικές ιδιότητες του χρωμοφόρου. Κατά την αυτο-οργάνωσή τους τα συσσωματώματα, που σχηματίζονται έχουν σχήμα σφαίρας, το μέγεθος των οποίων εξαρτάται από το είδος του διαλύτη που χρησιμοποιείται. Επιπλέον η διαδικασία της αυτό-οργάνωσης είναι μια αντιστρεπτή διαδικασία και εξαρτάται από την πολικότητα του διαλύτη. Αυτό τα καθιστά ισχυρούς υποψήφιους για τη χρήση τους ως χρωστικές ουσίες σε φωτο-ευαίσθητα ηλιακά κύτταρα.
