Abstract
A series of various protected diphenylalanine and phenylalanine derivatives were coupled by a peptide bond with mono amino porphyrin formed new materials. A comparative study in solution and at solid state has been presented, confirmed new interesting properties for the self-assembly hybrid materials while conserving the chromophore's electronic properties. During their self-organization the aggregates that are formed are spherical, and their size depends on the solvent that is used. Moreover, the self-assembly process is reversible and depends on the polarity of the solvent. This fact renders them powerful candidates for Dye Sensitized Solar Cell applications.
