Abstract
Novelty: pumice concrete stones with additional heat insulation means incorporated to the geometrical void spaces. Constitution: the incorporated heat insulation means is composed of organic material (e.g. polysterene, polyurethane etc) or non-organic material (e.g. expanded perlite, foamy concrete etc) for obtaining heat permeability ranging from 0.40 to 0.60 W(m2K)or lesser by use of one single pumice concrete stone placed lengthwise the width of the wall. The void spaces can be replenished either by pieces of heat insulation material (e.g. polysterene pieces) or by cast insulation material (e.g. polystyrene, foamy concrete, polyurethane, particles of expanded clay or perlite). Advantages: reduced wall weight, enhanced heat insulation, use of a single stone building element lengthwise the width of the wall (single wall) for reduced construction cost, room saving and architectural compatibility with building stays, filling of some void spaces or of the totality thereof with heat-insulation material in respect to the thermal designing of the building.
