Abstract

εφεύρεση συνίσταται στην ανάπτυξη και παραγωγή μίας νέας αυτοματοποιημένης μεθόδου, προς χρήσιν σε όλους τους σύγχρονους, αυτόματους αναλυτές, για τον προσδιορισμό της αντιοξειδωτικής ικανότητος του πλάσματος σε ανθρώπους, βασιζόμενη στην μεταβολήτου χρώματος από την οξείδωση (bleaching) της κροκίνης από ένα πρότυπο συνθετικό αντιοξειδωτικό. Επιπλέον του πλάσματος, η εφεύρεση θα χρησιμοποιηθεί για τον προσδιορισμό της αντιοξειδωτικής ικανότητος σε άλλα βιολογικά υγρά (πχ ούρα, εγκεφαλονωτιαίο υγρό, κλπ) , και σε θρεπτικά υγρά κυτταροκαλλιεργειών, για διαγνωστική και ερευνητική χρήση. Η εφεύρεση θα χρησιμοποιηθεί, πλην της μετρήσεως των αντιοξειδωτικών σε βιολογικά υγρά, για τον έλεγχο της αντιοξειδωτικής ικανότητος εκχυλισμάτων τροφών και ποτών (πχ κρασί, ελαιόλαδο, κλπ). Πλην των ανωτέρω σκοπών, η εφεύρεση θα χρησιμοποιηθεί για την μέτρηση της διορθωμένης ολικής αντιοξειδωτικής ικανότητος (corrTAC) σε βιολογικά υγρά. Ως διορθωμένη TAC οι εφευρέτες ορίζουν το κλάσμα της συνολικήςTAC η οποία οφείλεται στην δράση του συνόλου των εξωγενών αντιοξειδωτικών και των δραστικών μεταβολικών τους παραγώγων, σε βιολογικά υγρά. Οι εφευρέτες επιπλέον θα χρησιμοποιήσουν την ανωτέρω εφεύρεση σε ένα αριθμό φυσιολογικών (πχ δίαιτα) και παθολογικών καταστάσεων (αιμοδιάλυση, ασθένειες του γαστρεντερικού συστήματος, λοιμώξεις κλπ) εν όψει της καθιερώσεως της μεθόδου ως διαγνωστικού και πειραματικού εργαλείου για την μελέτη καταστάσεων ανθρώπινης φυσιολογίας και παθοφυσιολογίας. Οι εφευρέτες στη συνέχεια θα καθορίσουν το καλύτερο βιολογικό δείγμα προς χρήσιν για τον ανωτέρω προσδιορισμό TAC, τον τρόπο φυλάξεως δείγματος, την σταθερότητα και επαναληψιμότητα της μεθόδου. ΰ
