Abstract

(57) The press has a rotatably driven pressing container having an axially displaceable pressure plate and a counter-pressure plate which are mutually connected by means of drainage lines. The drainage lines which discharge the fruit juice are composed of a flexible core piece which is surrounded by a filter sleeve which is permeable to liquids. In order to prevent twisting of the filter sleeves about the longitudinal axes of the core pieces during rotation of the pressing container and therefore impairment of drainage, the direction of rotation of the pressing container is repeatedly changed, especially at the end of the pressing stroke of the pressure plate.
