999,042. Furniture joints. P. C. WYETT. April 30, 1962 [May 4, 1961], No. 16271/61. Heading A4W. A device 14 for coupling together tubular members in the construction of tubular furniture comprises a cylindrical pin 15 whose opposite ends are received in supporting plates 16 brazed to the inside walls of a tubular member 13 and a block 17 supported on the external surface of the junction between tubular members 11, 12 welded at right angles to one another, the block having a slot 17a at an angle to said surface and grub screws 18 in screwthreaded holes 17b which screws engage pin 15 when in slot 17a and cause it to slide down the inclined surface of the slot and pull the parts together.
