[Also in Division G6] A heat exchange tube 6 is provided with fins 7 arranged in sets extending longitudinally of the tube, the fins of adjacent sets being inclined in opposite senses to the longitudinal axis of the tube and the fins being so shaped that when the tube is arranged in a cooling fluid flowing longitudinally of the tube, as indicated by the arrow 8, the height of each fin progressively increases from its upstream to its downstream edge. The fins are curved and of outwardly decreasing thickness.
