Abstract

Plastics inlays 2 and 3 are fixed to the metal mould for a plastic hollow body which is then blow-moulded from a plastics material of melting temperature equal to or higher than that of the material used for the inlays. The fixing means to the mould may comprise pins. in the inlay with corresponding holes in the mould wall, by .insert of magnetic material within the inlay by known bonding agents or by insertion of the inlay into a recess in the mould wall. The inlays may also possess bevelled edges to assist retention in the wall of the blow-moulded article.
