In an arrangement for supplying a load, e.g. aerodrome lamps 9, with a constant current from a source 8 in which feedback is derived from a device 6 which compares a reference 7 with the smoothed, rectified output of a current transformer 1, errors due to the effect of temperature on the smoothing choke 5 are avoided by a compensating network comprising a temperature sensitive impedance 10 with a positive characteristic connected effectively in parallel with the choke. The current transformer supplies three parallel circuits: - a loading impedance 2, the temperature sensitive element 10 with sines resistance 11 (temperature independent), and the circuit comprising the rectifier 4, series impedance 3 and choke 5. The ratio of 3 and 5,10 and 11 is chosen so that the shunting effect of 10,11 decreases to compensate for increasing impedance of choke 5.
